On 1st September COC, together with Love and Care Centre (KwaNdengezi CBO) and Khayalami Network Centre, hosted a Career Expo for learners from Grades 6 to 12 from the three local schools. 157 learners attended the event.

There were many guest speakers present who spoke about their own careers, the studies needed to enter that career and their work environments. Also present at the event were representatives from the Department of Education, Old Mutual, Women’s Sector and Dream Chaser Academy, Sakhisizwe Community Project, KwaNdengezi SA Police Services, three students studying difference courses at the University of KwaZulu Natal, Ethembeni Crisis Care Centre, Isibusiso BCD Centre, Elangeni College, Operation Sukuma Sakhe, Gap standers Child youth development organisation and Teachers from three local schools.
The event also provided the opportunity for learners to showcase their own individual talents in singing, dancing and drama.
