The Saturday Kids Club at Thornwood continues to thrive this year, and now has 50 children from eight different schools attending regularly.  A new Club was launched in KwaNdengezi in April 2004 and has 20 members.

The Saturday Kids Club offer a variety of activities tailored to various interests and abilities, including both indoor and outdoor games.  The clubs provide a platform for children to freely express their thoughts and share any issues they may be facing. This is facilitated through group discussions and mentoring sessions, where adult volunteers and peers offer guidance and support. Such interactions help build confidence and also encourage empathy and understanding among the children.
